Tree Pruning Orpington & Professional Arborist Services – Kent Tree Care

Expert Tree Pruning for The Ravensbourne School, Bromley

Kent Tree Care recently completed a specialist tree pruning project at The Ravensbourne School on Hayes Lane.

The school required professional arborist services for nine large Horse Chestnut trees surrounding their sports fields. Over time, low-hanging branches had started to interfere with football activities.

Branches were catching balls and interrupting games. They also created potentialsafety risks for students and staff.

Detailed Tree Assessment & Planning

Before any work began, our qualified arborists carried out a full on-site inspection.

Each tree was carefully assessed for:

• Structural stability

• Branch density

• Overall tree health and condition

Following this assessment, we recommended targeted tree pruning techniques. The work focused on canopy lifting and improving clearance around the sports fields.

This approach helped to provide:

• Safe and unobstructed playing areas

• Preservation of the trees’ natural shape

• Improved long-term health and appearance

Professional Tree Pruning Process

On the scheduled day, our experienced team arrived with specialist arboricultural equipment and full safety gear.

All work was completed in line with industry-approved arboricultural standards. We took care to ensure that the pruning was controlled and precise throughout the project.

The work included:

• Clean, controlled pruning cuts to support healthy regrowth

• Precise shaping while maintaining the natural form of the trees

• Complete removal of all pruned material from the sports fields

Once the pruning was complete, the sports fields were left clean and ready for use.

Results for The Ravensbourne School

The tree pruning Bromley project provided several immediate benefits:

• No low branches obstructing the football pitches

• Training sessions and matches can now run without interruption

• Trees remain healthy, balanced and visually appealing

• Grounds were left clean, safe and ready for use

The targeted pruning improved clearance around the sports fields while allowing the trees to retain their natural appearance.
